Wed, Jan. 3rd, 2007, 11:22 pm Kitties!
Thanks to everyone who reminded me that there's such a thing as a photobucket, I now have kitty pictures to share! I'll have to get more of them off the camera. Each of the kitties got a stocking full of goodies, but it was the oldest cat that had the most fun with his. The cat who's too cool to play, mind you. He found the bag of catnip in it and he was done for. Kitty pictures behind the cut: 1: Simply the best shot I've ever gotten of her. 2: Christmas Card in the making: 3: Mischievous Ella, about six feet up in the tree: 4: Izzy examining the Christmas lights And that's all for a Wednesday.

pretty kitties! I love the Christmas card in the making. I'm just glad my cat is afraid of heights so she doesn't climb the tree. (Most likely she's "afraid of heights" b/c her tail had to be amputated when she was a wee thing..at least that is our theory.) Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:19 am (UTC)

Ella isn't afraid of anything. Except the vacuum. She isn't even afraid of the water bottle. I tried using it to help teach her the meaining of 'no'... no, she just swats and hisses at it.
I was hoping I'd get a good one of Izzy, too. She kept nosing the ornaments and it was soooo cute! but every time I got the camera, she'd back away and sit down with this 'I'm not anywhere near that tree, and if I were, I certainly wouldn't let you get photographic evidence of it' look. Ooh, lovely! I like 2 and 3. You could fix her eyes in three and that would make a good Christmas card too. I had a cat who used to bite the little lights off. Just the glass, mind, usually when plugged in. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:23 am (UTC)

I've tried fixing her eyes, but haven't really figured it out yet. I keep trying, though, because I think the picture is hysterical. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:33 am (UTC)

I tried a little free-hand thing with it, didn't spend much time. I used whatever the photo thing on my computer is, blew it up (but don't save it that way) so you could see the individual pixels and then colored them in and shrank it back. With a bit more time invested, it might turn out pretty well. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 03:30 am (UTC)

This is the best one I've managed so far: I think it's the glint that I've got off. It still just looks like a touched-up photograph to me. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 03:54 am (UTC)

No, that's very good! Remember, people will be looking at the entire pic. I don't think anyone will give it a second thought; they'll be too busy oohing and aahing over how cute she is. Thu, Jan. 4th, 2007 04:22 pm (UTC)

Aw they are so adorable! I really like the one of Ella all the way up in the tree, she's far braver than my lazy cats. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:24 am (UTC)

ella knows no fear. And I fought with her over the tree, but finally found my sense of humor about it a few days before Christmas. She's too cute to stay mad at (and the little monster knows it) Thu, Jan. 4th, 2007 09:53 pm (UTC)

Awww, they're both so beautiful! The close-up of Ella would really make for a great Christmas card. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:25 am (UTC)

I fully intend to use that close-up, too. I was very pleased with that shot. Sun, Jan. 7th, 2007 09:55 am (UTC)

Kitties and Christmas make a great combination. Wed, Jan. 10th, 2007 01:31 am (UTC)

Don't they? Izzy is such a calm kitty, always curled up somewhere. If I had a fireplace, she'd be curled up by the fire I think. She's very picturesque in that sense. Ella just has fun. I want it to snow so I can take her out and get some shots of her playing. I think she'd be a blast in the snow. Weather isn't cooperating though. |
